Autauga Farming Company (AFC) started in 1919. Originally, AFC was a satellite operation of the McQueen Smith Farms. Located in Autaugaville, Alabama along the Alabama River, the farm produced mainly cotton and cattle, and also operated a community cotton gin during it’s early years.
Today, we still grow cotton and raise cattle, along with many other crops. Corn, wheat, and oats are a staple for us now, as well as other grain and forage crops that we raise depending on markets and demand.
